Technical Head – Alcohol & Narcotics — Job Description

Role purpose

Make every Dawell alcohol and narcotics instrument work in the field — sold right, installed right, used right.

Lead technical and application support for the alcohol & narcotics detection portfolio (Dräger alcohol, SoToxa, TruNarc, DrugCheck) – pre-sales, training, deployment and after-sales.

Key responsibilities

• Provide application expertise, demos and method support for alcohol/narcotics lines
• Lead installation, commissioning, calibration and user training
• Own technical content for tenders (specs, compliance, BoQ)
• Resolve escalated service issues and manage AMC quality
• Train and mentor field application/service engineers
• Act as service lead for the division's repairs, warranty and AMC visits
• Sign installation & commissioning certificates
• Maintain OEM service certifications for the team

System responsibilities (Odoo)

• Technical & application lead for alcohol/narcotics lines – demos, installs, calibration, training
• Technical owner of Demo/POC devices for the division; OEM Authorization (read)
• Writes technical specs/compliance for tenders; manages AMC/service quality

Key result areas & indicative targets

Targets are indicative and are finalised in the KRA appraisal for each financial year.

Qualifications & experience

• B.E. / B.Tech or M.Sc (Chemistry, Forensic, Biomedical)
• Experience: 8+ years in instrument application / service
